GR Corolla E-Tuning
E-Tuning, also known as remote tuning, is a process of tuning a car over the internet by using datalogs and tuning updates until the car is fully tuned. All areas of the tune are adjusted just like they would be in person. We make E-Tuning as simple as possible by providing clear instructions on how to log the car and by being able to troubleshoot many issues by looking at logs. There is no time limit on the E-Tuning process and no limit on the number of revisions but we do our best to finish your tune in as few as possible. We will go back and forth with logs and tune revisions until the car is fully tuned in.

We also offer E-Tune updates for existing customers if you have changed your setup and the changes fall within our updates limits. If you are unsure which update you need, please contact us.

​​How to get your tune started:
​
1. Generate an E-Tune Ticket with us by sending us an email and be sure to put "GR Corolla" in the subject

Body: Simply let us know you are ready to get started and provide any extra information you wish to give us

​2. Check your email for a response from our ticket system and follow the instructions in that initial email
​3. Reply back to the ticket email when you have completely the setup information form and the Ecutek Connect App setup
4. Wait for your us to send your initial tune file to your Ecutek Connect App
5. Carefully read and follow all the flashing and logging instructions we will send you to your ticket email
6. Reply back to your ticket email to let us know when you have completely and uploaded your logs
7. Flash the tune revision you receive back from us and take any additional requested logs
8. Repeat steps 6 & 7 until we have your tune completed

What to expect:

Our experience:
​
We have 12+ years of tuning experience with over 7000 engines tuned and counting across all the platforms we support. Every tune we send starts as a very solid base tune that is built from hundreds of cars we've tuned with that identical setup. These tunes are made to be safe and already tuned to make about 90-95% of the ideal power for your setup. We add the final 5-10% when we review your first, second or additional logs. In most cases with straightforward setups we can have your car at full power in just 1 or 2 updates due to our experience and volume of cars we've tuned. With more complex setups, especially with larger turbos, different fuel types, etc, it will take more revisions so the process will take longer.

As long as your car is mechanically sound and running normal, all tunes we send are safe to drive as much as needed between revisions and often times fine to drive more aggressively while you wait for updates but we'll let you know about this when we review logs.

Communication:
​
We use a ticket system to stay organized and handle E-Tunes, support and consulting. When you email us the first time, this will create a ticket in our system. When we update your ticket, you will get an email back. Please reply to that same email for all your communication, sending logs, etc. If you are using Ecutek and uploading logs through the app, you will still need to reply to your ticket email to let us know and provide and feedback.

Turn around time:
​
Tunes go through a few different normal stages. The First Tune means we will send your the first tune for you car and we make sure do these as soon as we can. First Review means we've sent your first tune to log and we prioritize your ticket into a special queue to check the first logs quicker to be sure your car is running well. Often times at this point we only need to make small adjustments to your first tune and we will will mark your tune for a final review and let you know you can start enjoying the car. If we feel its likely to need to do more revisions when we mark your ticket for follow up reviewing and it moves to that queue. Once we feel we've sent the final tune, we'll let you know and mark your ticket for final review. Your car will be good and safe to enjoy at this point while you wait for that review.
If at some point your car is experiencing problems while tuning, or if we are troubleshooting something with Cobb or Ecutek or if we are testing special things with your car, we will move your ticket to an urgent status and place it into a higher priority queue to work quicker.

If you are in a hurry to complete your E-Tune with us, you can opt to use our Rush or Scheduled Priority service at any time. This is an available add-on under each tune category. Rush priority will shorten your turn around time as much as possible. Scheduled Priority allows you to text us to coordinate a window of time that we can go back and forth with logs/tunes to complete your tune.

First Tune: 1-3 business days after you place your order, submit your info and create a ticket with us.
First Review: 7-21 business days after we receive your logs
Follow up reviews: 10-30 business days
Final reviews: 15-30 business days
Urgent tickets: 5-10 business days
Rush priority: 1-5 business days
