2015 saw the Subaru WRX return to 2.0 liter engine called the FA20 which features direct injection and a low-mounted twin-scroll turbo charger.  It is a delicate motor but capable of producing nice power with the right mods while achieving unheard of fuel economy for a turbo Subaru.
